Le Parc Chloro'fil

It was still cooler on Monday so we headed off in the car again & stopped for some lunch in Lourdes. The older girls had decided they would like to go to Le Parc Chloro'fil so after lunch we jumped in the car again & went the short drive to the woods where you get to go tree climbing.
The little ones had four courses specifically designed for younger children where they had to attach their harness to the safety wire at the beginning of each course and were permanently attached till they got off at the other end. They both managed to do all four courses & even had time to complete some of them again. Well done!
For the older girls & the adults it wasn't quite so easy. There are various courses that gradually get harder & the harder they get, the higher up in the trees you are. Their harness had 3 clips attached, two of which you had to hook & unhook one at a time at each section of the course. Although you were always attached by at least one hook it was quite scary having to do this while trying to maneouvre through the obstacles. The third clip was for using along with a pulley to go down the zip wires.

Dad going down the last zip wire on the red course.

Jo's turn.

All the climbers at the end of the day. We were there for over 3 hours & it took a lot longer than we thought to go round all the courses. Had we had more time I think the braver of us would have gone on to try the purple & black course which were the highest & most difficult. Guess who??
