Thankfully no-one came to cheer me on so no photos of me beetroot faced and gasping for air.

Garioch 10k
Today was my first 10k challenge of the year, the Garioch 10k, which kicked off at 11:30. Training has not been very disciplined of late, but I still managed a respectable 51 minutes, finishing in 234th position out of 528 entrants. With the lighter nights now I will manage to get more miles in and break the 50min barrier at the next event, the Baker Hughes 10k in May.

Aviemore
We spent this weekend at Aviemore. Heading up on the Friday we stopped at Landmark in Carrbridge. Great fun in the adventure park, and some lovely views from the Fire Tower.
On Saturday we enjoyed some of the facilities at the Coylumbridge hotel where we were staying, and we also took the Funicular Railway up the Cairngorms and went sledging. Although the weather has been mild recently there was still plenty of snow.

Tyrebagger Sculpture Trail
When I was offshore for the weekend, M, D & K came over for a visit and ended up taking advantage of a nice day, and walking the Tyrebagger Sculpture Trail just a few miles from home.
