Baby Aaron visit

Yesterday we went to visit Aaron, who is now 7 weeks old today. He has changed a lot since our last visit 6 weeks ago. His eyesight is developing and he was very interested in what his cousins B and J were up to.

K's Vist

K came to stay for a few days at the start of the summer holidays. The first few days were rainy so we went to see Kung Fu Panda at the cinema one day, and went to the Leisure Pool the other day.

When the weather faired I bet the kids a fiver each that they couldn't climb the Mither Tap of Bennachie.

As you can see from the photos I'm £15 out of pocket.

Fun at the Park.

We had a scorcher of a day yesterday, first paddling pool weather day this year.

B, you've been framed.

Pond Dipping at Castle Fraser

The National Trust were holding a Pond Dipping Session at Casle Fraser so we headed down to give it a go. The Tree Huggers turned us away at first as we were supposed to phone and pre-book, and they were apparently fully subscribed. We hung around long enough for guilt to set in, and they finally let us join their gang to head through the nature walk down to the pond.

I told him those stepping stones were slippy, but will he listen!

The pond dipping was really quite interesting, and the Rangers were very good pointing out and explaining all the beasties we caught. I think J enjoyed it more than B, she couldn't cope with all the flies. I thought she was going to end up in the pond at one point, running and flapping away from a bluebottle.
